Mizuno Wave Bolt 4 Review
The Mizuno Women’s Wave Bolt 4 is an introductory line of volleyball shoes by Mizuno. They are one of the most affordable Mizunos available and still built with the quality you’d expect.
Mizuno’s Parallel Wave technology disperses the shock from jumping throughout the sole of the shoe for excellent cushioning and stability. Dynamotion Grove to increase flexibility and agility. Ventilation system to reduce heat and humidity and increased breathability. Dura Shield protects toe from constant dragging across the floor.
Mizuno put’s a lot of emphasis on their volleyball shoes. They keep in mind the most common movements of volleyball players and create their shoes with those movements in mind. The price is very reasonable. The shoe is lightweight and durable.
As with many Mizunos, these shoes seem to run small. This isn’t the case for everyone, but it is a common theme amongst reviewers. Since fit is a personal preference, I suggest you try on a pair of any Mizunos locally so you know how they compare to the shoes you normally wear. Then you’ll know if you need to go up a size when ordering the Mizuno Wave Bolt 2 online.

Shock-absorbing midsole compound in the forefoot. Pebax┢ parallel Mizuno Wave® technology helps disperse shock uniformly throughout the sole, delivering lightweight cushioning and a boost in stability. It also offers a midsole ventilation system to decrease heat and humidity built-up. Outsole flex grooves help fight off forefoot instability by maintaining their shape under heavy stress.
This shoe is well liked for its comfort and durability. This is a very affordable shoe if you purchase through Amazon.
Reportedly fits a little tight by some people.
The Wave Bolt 3 is a very classic looking volleyball shoe. It comes in 5 colors:
Mizuno Women’s Wave Bolt 3
Mizuno Wave Bolt 2
is one of the introductory lines of volleyball shoes for Mizuno. They are the cheapest in price, but still built with solid quality.
Specifics: 8.8 oz
This shoe has the MizunoWave Technology which is described by Mizuno as “wave’s unique shape dissipates impact forces away from the foot for a smoother, more cushioned feel on every step.”
It also has a reinforced toe bumper, and a modular rubber gum outsole for stability and traction.
Pros: Light any good volleyball shoe, the Mizuno Wave Bolt 2 is hailed as being lightweight and it is also heavily reviewed to have good traction. As an introductory shoe, the price is lower than most Mizuno shoes.
Cons: There are reports by some, that this shoe has durability issues, but this probably depends on how long and hard you wear them. If fun colors are important to you, this probably isn’t your shoe. White with red, blue or black, and black with silver are your options. The only other con reported is the tight fit. As I always like to point out, this is a personal preference more than a con. Try on a pair of any Mizunos locally so you know how they compare to the shoes you normally wear. Then you’ll know if you need to go up a size when ordering the Mizuno Wave Bolt 2 online.
